George Linardakis

George has a global role, responsible for developing and deploying the Fund’s investment strategy, deal sourcing, structuring and execution, portfolio and risk management.

 

George brings 27 years of ‘Active’ global investment experience across asset classes, having managed several billion dollars in investments at Deutsche Bank, Tudor Capital and Orn Capital in public and private markets, capitalised management teams and start-ups, provided advice at management and board level, helped restructure assets and businesses, with the aim of realising and exceeding return targets.

 

Originally from Greece, George has lived in Luxembourg and the UK where he gained a B.A. in Economics and Business and an MSc in Investment Management.

Jostein Ueland

Jostein has a global role, responsible for developing and deploying the Funds investment strategy, business development and working with portfolio companies to create shareholder value.

 

Jostein has 20 years of energy, infrastructure,  shipping and entrepreneurial experience. He was co-founder and CFO of FLEX LNG LTD, where he was responsible for or intimately involved with all capital markets activities, shipyard negotiations, business development, dispute resolutions and corporate restructuring. In 2016 he co-founded Dreifa Energy LTD, a company engaged in providing cost efficient and clean energy infrastructure solutions to new and emerging markets.

 

He is a Norwegian citizen and earned his degree in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Dr. Ashley Finan

Dr. Ashley Finan was recently appointed Chief Scientist for the N&HS Directorate, at Idaho National Laboratory. Dr Finan was the Director of the National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC), providing resources to reactor innovators to test, demonstrate, and conduct performance assessments to accelerate the deployment of advanced nuclear technology concepts.

Dr. Finan served as Executive Director for the Nuclear Innovation Alliance, and previously served as a Director of Nuclear Innovation at Clean Air Task Force.

Dr. Finan earned her Ph.D. in Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT, focusing on energy innovation investment and policy optimization, both in nuclear and renewable energy technologies.

Dr. Staffan Qvist

Dr. Staffan Qvist leads QuantifiedCarbon, an energy & engineering consultancy active in industrial decarbonization projects, energy systems modelling & optimization and investment analysis. He  holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Berkeley.

 

Dr. Qvist has worked on all aspects of energy transition during the past decade, including novel expanded uses for nuclear energy beyond electricity generation, district & process heating, heat-assisted hydrogen production, direct air capture systems and flexible operation via thermal storage systems. For the past 3 years he has led an international team studying the repowering of existing coal power plants in to advanced nuclear plants.

 

Dr. Qvist is the co-author of “A Bright Future”, a book on successful and failed strategies to decarbonize energy, which was turned in to a documentary film by Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone which recently had its debut at the Venice film festival.”

Brandon Munro

Mr. Brandon Munro is an expert on uranium mining and the nuclear fuel cycle and is CEO of Bannerman Energy, an ASX listed uranium development company.

 

An M&A lawyer by background, Mr Munro is a member of the World Nuclear Association Advisory Panel and former Chair of the World Nuclear Association’s Nuclear Fuel Demand working group, the body responsible for forecasting nuclear fuel demand scenarios to 2040. He has also been a contributing expert on uranium to the UNECE.

Scott Melbye

Mr. Scott Melbye is a 38-year veteran of the nuclear energy industry with an unparalleled experience and understanding across global nuclear power markets.

​

Having held senior management roles with industry leaders Cameco, Uranium One and Kazatomprom, Scott is now the CEO of Uranium Royalty Corp and EVP of Uranium Energy Corp.

​

Scott is the former Chair of the World Nuclear Fuel Market, and current President of the Uranium Producers of America. Scott testifies frequently on uranium matters before the US Senate and US House Oversight Committees.

Dr. Rita Baranwal

Dr. Rita Baranwal was appointed Chief Technical Officer at Westinghouse in 2022 and is currently leading the AP300 SMR programme.
 
Dr. Baranwal is a prominent figure in nuclear energy, leading a team of 200+ experts in science-based R&D for a significant portion of the world's nuclear fleet. Former Assistant Secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy in the U.S. Department of Energy, she drove R&D efforts for both existing and advanced nuclear technologies.

Dr. Baranwal has also held senior leadership roles with the Idaho National Laboratory as Director of the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear (GAIN), and most recently was the Chief Nuclear Officer and Vice President of Nuclear for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

Dr. Stephen Boyd

Dr. Stephen Boyd is a patented, published researcher with proven, extensive lab experience. A NASA iTech/X-Prize finalist and winner of the 2018 Stony Brook University/CEBIP Innovator of the Year, Dr. Boyd is skilled in a range of investigative and synthetic strategies. 

 

In particular, Dr. Boyd excels in solid-state nanoparticles  (doped and pure), lanthanide- and actinide-fluoride-salt characterization, and is strong in inorganic synthesis and extraction techniques.  His halogen research on advanced energy systems, applicable to Gen-III and Gen-IV nuclear reactors, is geared toward molten-salt processes, high-temperature chemistries and space-based applications.
